About Tango chirimen: Tango chirimen is a type of plain-woven silk crêpe that has been produced for over 300 years in the Tango region, located on the northern coast of Kyoto Prefecture. It has been traditionally used for the creation of kimonos and it's regarded as one of the most exquisite and luxurios kimonos you could buy.
They differ from a "normal" kimono not only for the type of fabric employed but also for the design. Kimonos produced in the Tango region feature a more minimalistic design which gives them an unique flavor.
